If you have any doubts about whether you have everything you will need, or to receive a custom quote for a large volume order, be sure to contact our application engineers. Note that pricing on this website are kept as accurate as possible, but for current/official quotes, be sure to contact TERN directly.
NOTE: Before placing your order, you should understand the configuration of headers on TERN controllers. Some of the configurations can be confusing, and we suggest you specify your header type when ordering. TERN controllers use 0.1″ spacing, 0.025 square inch straight pin-headers. Headers are available in three different variants. (Pin-headers not good enough? Be sure to look at our W40 adapter block for easy field-access via screw terminal.)
All prices are in US dollars. California buyers must add sales tax or provide California resale certificate. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Contact us between 8:00 am to 5:00 PM PST on a normal business day to speak with one of our support engineers/sales representatives.

Type T
Type T puts the long leads with plastic spacer on top of the board. The short pins are soldered to the bottom side of the board.
This is the default type for OEM orders and controllers not purchased part of software development kits. Any configurations other than type T must be specifically requested when ordering.
Type E
This type of header is for boards shipped with the development kits, with signals accessible on both (component) and bottom (solder) sides.
It is used by default for engine boards that require the VE232 when purchased as part of a development kit. This type of header is difficult to manufacture, and special charges will apply.
Type B
Type B is useful if you are planning on plugging TERN controllers into your own OEM PCBs. The short pins are soldered on top of the board.
For first time orders, we accept prepaid checks, money orders, C.O.D.s with a cashier’s check, or VISA, MasterCard, or American Express.
After the first time order with approved credit, net 10/30 terms are available. A 1.5% per month (18% per year) finance charge will be applied to accounts past due.
To apply for terms, please contact our sales department with bank, industry, and credit information.
A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number for repair, or a Credit Return Authorization (CRA) number for credit, must be obtained from TERN prior to hardware product return.
CRA hardware products must be returned within 30 days of purchase and in “like new” condition. All CRA hardware products are subject to a 20% re-testing, restocking, and handling charge.
If you have returned a controller for repair/testing, contact us for an updated status report. If special arrangements need to be made for a rush replacement, be sure to contact us directly.
TERN warrants to the original purchaser for a period of one year from the date of original purchase that the products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship.
TERN’s obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing. The cost of labor and parts must be paid by the customer.
This warranty will not apply to products that have been misused, abused, or altered.
TERN is developing complex high-technology integration systems. Although quality control is closely monitored, these systems are integrated with software and hardware in which defects can occur. TERN products are not designed, intended, authorized, or warranted to be suitable for use in life-support applications, devices, or systems, or in other critical applications.
TERN and the buyer agree that TERN will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of TERN products. It is the user’s responsibility to protect life and property against incidental failure. TERN reserves the right to make changes and improvements to its products without providing notice.
Note: TERN controllers are expected to operate fault-free at standard industrial temperature ranges. But as the operating range also strongly depends on the specifics of your application, TERN does not offer any warranty as to the effectiveness at extreme ranges. It is important you conduct your own temperature tests on your completed application.
